A HEARTBROKEN POEM:

but now what i know about him is all a lie.
he's changed
for the worse.
i can't bear to talk to him anymore.
his words eat at my heart- or what i have left of it.
the rest of its shattered.
now i know what people mean when they say one word:
HEARTBROKEN.

yet everyday, i check my inbox, hoping to see some sign of life from him,
but nothing.
i get my hopes up,
i get my hopes up, but he crashes them to the ground in one number:
new emails : 0.

i put my hopes up for some sign, an email saying i've got it all wrong, it's not a lie,
but that email never comes.
i hate it that i love him
even when he ignores me and never gives me any sign of mutual feelings
now i know the meaning of this last word:
HEARTBROKEN.
